Speyside
Special
This special tour takes you round some of the pride of Speyside
with a foray southward into deepest Perthshire before some time
to relax in our lovely capital city.
Day
1 - Leave Edinburgh and head straight for Speyside.
When you arrive in the area, visit
Glenfiddich, home of the world's best selling single malt whisky.
Check in to your hotel for the next two nights.
Day
2 - First stop is Macallan for a tour and a dram. Next, to
the Speyside Cooperage to learn about the ancient craft of cask
making. After lunch a visit to The Glenlivet and back to the hotel
for dinner.
Day
3 - A visit to Glenfarclas Distillery - one of the few independently
owned - is followed by a stop at Tormore for a photo opportunity
as it is strikingly pretty. After a picturesque drive through
the Perthshire countryside, check into your hotel in time for
dinner.
Day
4 - Leave south for Edinburgh visiting Glenturret, Scotland's
oldest working distillery on the way. A fine lunch can be had
here. In the evening, a tutored tasting with Distillery Destinations
and dinner in one of Edinburgh's many excellent restaurants.
Day
5 - Time for more sightseeing before leaving or a morning
departure as your timing permits.
